It is common to see black bears in Western North Carolina Mountains. We do occasionally see bears on site. They keep to themselves but it's best to exercise reasonable precaution. Recommend leaving car doors locked and peek out before stepping outside. Make sure not to leave trash or food outside unattended.

Had a wonderful stay, hots were very responsive to minor issues we encountered. House was wonderful, clean and full of every amenity imaginable. Would highly recommend for groups large and small for a great getaway in Asheville The house was perfect for our Women's Retreat (24 ladies). We really enjoyed the space. The heated bathroom floors were really nice. Be aware that the bunk beds are made more for children, so older grown women struggled getting into and out of those (:-)<br/>Overall the house was a great fit for our needs and we would definitely book again! One of the best AirBNB homes I have ever stayed in. Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a large group. Everything was clean and the house was beautifully decorated. Incredible amount of games to play and entertain. Great experience.
