It is common to see black bears in Western North Carolina Mountains. We do occasionally see bears on site. They keep to themselves but it's best to exercise reasonable precaution. Recommend leaving car doors locked and peek out before stepping outside. Make sure not to leave trash or food outside unattended.

We had a great stay in Asheville. The weekend plan went a little chaotic when the area received an enormous amount of snow, but our hosts were communicative with us and flexible with our adjusted travels and cancelled flights. The house was gorgeous and made for a perfect place to staycation. We all agreed we would love to visit again during the Summer-especially because it has a shared property with more space for other friends. The kitchen was stacked with everything you could possibly need and we spent the weekend baking and eating in rather than testing the snowy roads. The rooms are beautiful, the theater was super fun, and we all had space to recharge in between social time. I would highly recommend staying here! home was perfect. would come back Nice place with good amenities. It kept the kids entertained.
